About me
Travel has always been a profound passion of mine, sparked by a childhood fascination with beautiful hotels and unique places to stay. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to explore the world extensively, staying in over 1,700 hotels. What began as small-budget travel evolved into a deeper understanding of luxury, miles, and points, and the belief that every hotel stay should feel special and memorable.

Each hotel featured here has been personally visited, ensuring that every review reflects genuine, firsthand insights. My goal is to inspire and guide you to discover extraordinary places that resonate with your own travel aspirations.
Whether it’s a hidden gem in the mountains, a world-class luxury resort, or a boutique city retreat, I believe there’s a perfect stay for everyone. Join me on this journey of discovery, and let’s uncover the world’s most remarkable hotels together.

FAQ
Do you test hotels anonymously?
No, I do not review hotels anonymously. It’s simply not feasible to stay at a hotel, conduct comprehensive photography, and engage in meaningful conversations with the staff about the concept, history, and unique offerings without them knowing my purpose for being there. All reviews are my personal opinions. Hotels have no influence on the content of my reviews. Some might argue that this approach could compromise neutrality or result in special treatment. To some extent, that is true. However, I believe that a hotel’s hardware - its rooms, design, facilities, and amenities - remains consistent, regardless of who is staying. As for aspects like staff and service, hese are inherently subjective and cannot be drastically altered just because the hotel knows I am reviewing them. While I strive for fairness and transparency, my reviews are not about achieving absolute objectivity. Instead, they reflect my authentic experiences, which I hope will resonate with travelers seeking honest and detailed insights.
Your reviews all sound very positive and have little complaints.
If there is room to improve or aspects of my stay I didn’t fully enjoy, they are always mentioned in my review. Overall, I try to focus on the reasons to stay at a given property and highlight its strengths. Hotels that did not convince me or would have a long list of negatives simply don’t make it onto my site. I only want to showcase great places to stay that I can recommend to my readers and that I would also recommend to my friends and family.
Where are the pictures from?
All photography on my hotel reviews is taken by myself. I love to capture places with my camera(s) and through my perspective and lens. Some images might not look as polished as those on the official website of a hotel, but my goal is to give you an authentic impression of the property. To present the hotels in their best light, I do some editing, such as light and color corrections. There are no models in my photos, and certain areas are captured outside of regular hours (like the spa) to ensure that no other guests are disturbed.
Can I book a hotel on your site?
I’m not a travel agent or an online booking site. On each hotel page, you’ll find the details of the property and a direct link to their website. Feel free to choose your preferred booking site. I don’t use affiliate links or take commissions. I recommend booking with a travel advisor or directly with the hotel, as they are usually able to provide the best rates and answer all questions directly.
